Compliance is firmly established in the company culture at METRO. We do everything we can to act “simply right”. Nevertheless, transgressions will arise. We aim at preventing and resolving any kind of misconduct and therefore encourage you to speak up! If possible, contact your superior or Compliance Officer directly. However, if you are uncertain or would like to report an issue anonymously, we urge you to use our Compliance Reporting System. Any alleged or observed transgression will be handled with utmost care and all involved employees, both accuser and accused, will be protected. Speaking up is not about denunciating, it is about acting simply right.

Always keep in mind, at the end of the day, it’s up to you to SPEAK UP!

COMPLIANCE REPORTING SYSTEM

Compliance and integrity are of great importance in METRO GROUP. The Management Board therefore requires all employees and members of the METRO GROUP managements to act in accordance with current law, the METRO GROUP Business Principles, and company guidelines – everywhere and at all times. Compliance is not negotiable for us!

This whistleblowing system has been established as a part of the METRO GROUP Compliance system in order to receive reports about observed compliance violations within the METRO GROUP; it is accessible to METRO GROUP employees and external third parties, e.g. customers or business partners.

The system generally allows for the anonymous reporting of incidents. METRO GROUP prefers reporting persons to identify themselves, however, as this facilitates the fast and efficient handling of investigations. All reports are treated with the strictest confidentiality, and whistleblowers are protected as a matter of course.
